The Silk Road has been the most important cultural adventure of the human history for more than 2000 years. Our expedition objects to pass this historical road by a camel caravan. The starting point is Xian, the important metropolis of the passed centuries. From Xian to Lanchou, Anxi, Hami, Turfan, Aksu, Kashgar, Tashkent, Buhara, Semerkand, Merv, Tahran, Tebriz, following Anatolia and finish in Istanbul. Arif AŞÇI, the leader of the team, has been making researches on these regions for 10 years and objects to prepare a video and photographic visual documentation including architecture, tradition, music, clothes and traditional cuisine cultures. By the help of this documentation a 400 paged book will be published in Turkish and other languages which is going to be sponsored by Çanakkale Seramik. In addition, a TV documentary for Turkish and world media, photo-stories and photograph exhibitions will be organized.
