Through its grand ceremonial entrances - which will suggest the architectural form of İstanbul's ancient arched aqueducts - the Park will unfold in a series of richly landscaped European boulevards, avenues of human interaction linked by the bold, broad plazas that inspire flights of imagination. Dominated by dancing fountains and striking architectural monuments, these plazas will shape the visual experience of the Olympics in the most positive and futuristic fashion - and provide, at the same time, an ideal setting for the restaurants, concessions and resting points so important to the success of the Games. At the heart of it all, there will be a river - the Olympic River - coursing through the Park in a meandering ribbon of blue, creating a link with the Bosphorus and the beautiful waters that nurtured İstanbul's origins. The naturally tranquil qualities of the Olympic River will call people to relax along its stepped banks and soak in the atmosphere of this most intriguing Olympic environment. From every vista, spectators will behold the rising forms of 12 separate stadiums and arenas, culminating at the Park's highest elevation with the magnificent structure of the 100,000-seat Olympic Stadium.
